Anonymous chat, actually anonymous
Yes. Waku is a free web app where you can chat anonymously with strangers. Make an anonymous profile in about a minute, with no email and no real photos, then meet someone in Random, Swipe or a Portal, and keep the people you click with in Chats.
What it is
Most “anonymous” apps still want your email, number or face. Here you pick a nickname and a picture, nothing else. In Chats: Messages and files are end-to-end encrypted. Notes sent with a yes aren’t.
Tips
- Pick a nickname you don’t use anywhere else.
- Choose a Pinterest picture, not a photo of you.
- Don’t share your name, city or socials.
- Pick how long your account lives: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days of quiet.
Keep it good
Anonymous isn’t lawless: there are bot checks, links and handles are blocked, and anyone can be reported.
